Moonspawn #1

Howdy, friends! The short version of it is...we did it! Thanks to the support of 70 backers, we're going to be able to bring MOONSPAWN #1 to life!

The long version of it is...

We're already hard at work on getting this ready for print. The first issue is already drawn and colored, and I have it lettered through page 11...or halfway done. I'm hoping to get the first lettering pass done this week and next so we'll be able to do a couple of things:

1.) get it sent to print ASAP and

2.) get the digital copies out to you by the end of October!

A few housekeeping things: there are still a few of you with errored pledges. I believe tomorrow (October 7th) is the final day you're able to change and/or update your card information to get your pledge corrected. Otherwise you'll "error out" and have to place a separate order through our pre-launch store, which I hope to have live by the end of next weekend.

Also by the end of next weekend, I hope to get the surveys sent out, so be on the lookout for that as well.

Hey friends! We have just over two weeks left on this campaign, and we're chugging right along. In fact, we've already unlocked the first PHYSICAL stretch goal: a signed bookplate for every physical backer.

Here's what we're planning for the first batch of stretch goals...

I didn't expect to send two updates today, but I come bearing good news. Great news, even. The best news. As of this update, MOONSPAWN #1 is officially FUNDED! That's right—we're making this comic!

We funded in just over 25 hours after launch, which I think might be the quickest funding for anything released by Meltdown Press, so thank you. Thank you for helping bring this story to life.

In the meantime, we got the crossover print art in, and it's looking GREAT! Drawn and colored by artist Brian Wolf, you can catch a glimpse at it below.


As a reminder, if you back Echoes by Wells Thompson, you'll get the left third. If you back What Dwells Beneath the Heart by J. Michael Miller, you'll get the center third. Then, naturally, those who back Moonspawn #1 will get the right third.

By my calculations, we've currently unlocked a whopping FIVE free digital comics for backers of ANY level! More will unlock as the campaign moves along.

Soon enough, we'll have physical stretch goals to go along with this all too. Speaking of which...
